Mold Maker
Career Transitions, LLC is working with a client in the South Bend, IN area who is seeking a Mold Maker to join their automotive OEM operations. This is a full-time, direct hire position that offers an outstanding benefits package.
Repairs and maintains all injection molds, jigs and fixtures used in the day to day operation of the manufacturing facility.
Essential Functions:
1. Maintains and troubleshoots tooling issues with respect to injection molding and assembly.
2. Repairs, replaces and maintains all injection molds, jigs and fixtures utilized in the daily operation of the manufacturing facility.
3. Assists in the design and fabrication of any, and all, equipment utilized in the molding and assembly process. This includes assembly fixtures and supporting manufacturing engineering with automatic assembly machines.
4. Responsible for utilizing basic tool room equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders EDM machine and hand tools.
5. Communicates with other department personnel as necessary to coordinate and ensure minimal downtime.
Experience: Minimum of four years working in a tool room environment. Prior experience in injection mold construction and or repair. Knowledge of assembly equipment, components and automation
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
