Our client, located in Mishawaka, is looking for a Purchasing Agent/Administrative Assistant.
Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare schedule and purchase needed supplies and material to support the manufacturing of our customer's products.
Review and print shop travelers and obtain prints needed for production.
Run daily reports and purchase materials in support of the production schedule.
Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price.
Monitor and establish inventory levels to prevent shortages.
Prepare requests for quotes.
Place orders with adequate lead time to ensure the arrival of materials/supplies to meet production deadlines.
Work with suppliers and customers to address problems with delivery and other requests.
Effectively and frequently communicate with the Operations Manager and department heads regarding order statuses.
Authorize payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation and entering invoices for material.
Participate in month-end close process.
Helping with phone coverage and other office support duties.
Requirements:
Must be very organized and able to work on tight deadlines.
Ability to multi-task and be a team player.
Must have excellent computer and communication skills.
High School education is required; experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus!
Hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
