Career Transitions, LLC. is working with a client in the South Bend/Mishawaka, IN area who is seeking an Applications Engineer. Great opportunity with a company that has been in the community for 50
years. This is a full-time, direct hire position.
This position will define, cost estimate and ultimately approve opportunities brought to the organization by the Sales Team.
Under broad direction, the Applications Engineer will work with the Engineering and Sales Teams to appropriately apply the client's industry leading product offering in new and existing markets channels.
The Applications Engineer will determine specifications through engineering calculation, layouts and evaluation of the existing internal knowledge base.
Typical functions will include but not be limited to:
Collecting additional project information / background
Designing industrial process flows (P&ID, etc.)
Identifying and budget quoting buyout equipment
Identifying and budget quoting construction labor and equipment
Measuring actual project costing against budget
Provide technical support to the Sales Team
This will be a leadership position with room for challenging existing practices and finding even better ways to serve our customers through product and process innovation.
A degreed Engineer with 2 - 5 years of systems engineering experience is preferred. Some travel is required.
Desktop applications used will include but not be limited to the following: General; Microsoft Office, Outlook 3D and 2D CAD; SolidWorks, AutoCAD; PDM; dbWorks

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
