The Director is to provide excellent service, oversight, and management for the Everest/Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center.
This position is responsible for overseeing the Manager of Audio/Video Services and also supervising, training, and developing the student staff.
The duties include set up, operation of lighting and staging of the auditorium, budgeting, capital projects, and design and upgrading new and current systems.
Essential Functions &
Responsibilities:
40% Manage and direct operations and technical needs of productions and events.
15% Hire, train, schedule and supervise student workers.
10% Maintain lighting and technical equipment.
10% Execute lighting designs for events not including theatre10% Oversee and assist Director of Audio Services.
5% Schedule rooms in Everest/Rohrer.
5% Create, maintain, and monitor budget; research, purchase and apprise supervisor of new equipment.
Approve and recommend capital and operations purchases for the facility5% Other duties as assigned.

Select appropriate lighting and staging setups for events.
Maintain facility, lighting and stage equipment and keep in a clean and organized manner.
Work with departments and outside contacts with excellence and in a courteous and professional manner.
Self-motivated and able to work independently and as a collaborative team.
Ability to multi-task and assign duties.
Serve as a Christian role model for students and other employees.
Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment while fulfilling the customer service requirements of the position.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience Five or more years of professional theatre and event experience.
Education A BA or higher in Theatre Arts or similarInterpersonal Skills Courtesy, tact, and diplomacyOther Skills Experience in managing projects and creative personnel.
Extensive experience with lighting and staging for performing arts (theatre, worship and choral music).
Experience in using Vectorworks for staging and lighting design.
Expert experience in lighting design, modern light board operation and programming.
Excellent technical knowledge in setting up systems, components, patching, and troubleshooting.
Advanced working knowledge of Audio and video Strong customer service skills and professional manner to successfully build and maintain positive customer relations and provide quality service.
Ability to maintain yearly budget and new capital projects budgets.
Physical Requirements Stand and walk for long periods of time.
