Quality Compliance Lead

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Quality, or another technical field.
7-10 years of experience with Automotive and/or Defense industry program and operations level requirements; including the AIAG core tools.
ISO/IATF Lead Auditor Certification Experience with the ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 standard.
Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Strong problem solving, organizational, customer service, negotiating, and multi-tasking skills.
Must have strong and accurate written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to travel 5%-10%.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Leads and directs 3rd party audit activities to ensure AM General maintains an IATF16949 certified QMS System.
Schedules registration and surveillance audits with our registrar Identify and prioritize non-conformance issues from external audits and work with the business team for timely resolution of issues identified.
Monitors and tracks Corporate QMS Compliance & Maturity Serves as the corporate subject matter expert regarding adherence to the ISO 9001:
2015 & IATF 16949 Quality Management standards.
Develop and coordinate delivery of ISO/IATF training material for the organization at all levels.
Review and interpret standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
Understand and ensure organizational compliance with customer specific requirements.
Coordinates and executes internal auditing activities required for the organization to maintain customer required registration which includes IATF 16949.
Schedules and conducts internal ISO/IATF audits to assure the Quality Management System is effective.
Identify and prioritize non-conformance issues from internal and external audits and work with the business team for timely resolution of issues identified.
Ensure Quality Management System documented processes match the processes in use within the company.
Evaluate effectiveness of the internal audit program, make recommendations for improvements, and drive continuous improvement.
Organize, assign, and manage tasks and records for the corporate-wide cross-functional Internal Auditor Team.
Schedules and Executes AM General's Management Review and ensures company leaders are maintaining QMS KPI's.
Assist with coordinating the AM General ISO/IATF Steering Committee Meeting Monitors for new and changed business processes to ensure compliance with relevant standards, specifications, and customer-specific requirements.
Develop and execute plans to maintain ISO/IATF documentation for the Quality Management System Ensure new and changed business operating system processes are compliant to appropriate Quality System standards, customer requirements, and business requirements.
Supports the AM General Production System by ensuring that documentation developed, and production system processes are compliant to QMS requirements.
Leads and/or supports implementation of Quality Business Systems to support effective quality processes.
Leads and participates in Lean Six-Sigma continuous improvement efforts.
Recognize, communicate, and perform safe work practices as the highest priority and meet guidelines for ergonomics, health/safety, and housekeeping.

This includes the ability to move throughout all areas of the facility, Company's property surrounding facility, or additional work areas.
Climbing / Kneeling:
must be able to occasionally climb, kneel, bend over, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, with balance.
Lifting:
must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds with or without assistance.
Physical Strength:
must be able to occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry objects using hands, arms, back, abdominal muscles, shoulders, legs, or a combination of these muscle groups.
Stamina:
must be able to occasionally exert oneself physically over long periods of time.
This may include performing repetitive or strenuous tasks as well as standing and sitting for long periods.
WORKING CONDITIONS Physical Location:
This position operates between an office and manufacturing plant environment and is often assigned to a specific shift or hours.
Employee must be able to perform job functions in environment with varying difficult work conditions such as extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, at heights, and/or while exposed to constant/intermittent loud noises.
Teamwork:
This position will work with others to ensure efficiency in the workplace.
Listening Skills:
This position will need to understand how to use machinery properly and safely to prevent accidents and ensure all tasks are completed accurately.
Ability to follow instructions:
Managers assign tasks and responsibilities, which vary depending on the products being manufactured; this position should be able to follow instructions competently.
Methodical approach:
Production lines follow a set process, so this position needs a methodical approach to ensure all tasks are completed in the correct order for a smooth-running production line.
Concentration:
This position may perform the same or similar tasks repeatedly, so a strong level of concentration when carrying out these tasks is important for quality control purposes.
This role is often fast paced, so being able to maintain focus at all times is important.
Travel Requirements:
Up to 25% travel may be required.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
